I'm having problems with my NSO birth certificate. The copies given to me are blurred. I called the NSO hotline (?), and they instructed me to request for a clear copy of my BC from the Local Civil Registry and have them endorse it to NSO. And I did just that (well, not really me, but my cousin who's in Cebu), and we found out that the LCR refused to give us a clear copy (or to NSO), since they already gave NSO a clear copy of my BC, according to the lawyer in charge at the LCR in Cebu. Why are you people making my life so difficult?!

I know Orientation is supposed to be fun, and to inaugurate freshman into the "uni life", which, I am absolutely sure, is totally different from JC and outside life. I mean, the people in uni are NOT people in jc/poly/UR FUCKING FRIENDS, but they mainly hail from some Sudan, Mali and The Maldives, hence the need for a more intensive and colouful integration, which brings me to my next point, the orientation games. Playing games with a corny meaning, playing contact games, making people wear white tshirts during water games, or even better, an orange singlet. Hey is this Sheri's Cabaret Las Vegas Nude Strip Club... no wait a min, is this National University of Singapore? Oh. See I don't give a flying fuck if this is the orientation of Victoria School or Methodist Girls' School, but when it's a uni(unisex) orientation, and forcing people to wear all those, is utterly cheap. It's like how Man United is shamelessly holding on to Ronaldo just because he's bounded by a contract. So just... (more)

Feeling the hip-hop beat...
I'm on a hip-hop wave, and I'm in love with hip-hop violinists. I think it combines all the good in hip-hop and classical violin... it's so enjoyable... mm... I especially love the last dance act in the movie "Step Up" (yes the first part of it), where in the last act the dancers are dancing a show case by the music that again combines hip-hop music with violin and has a nice jazzy tune to it. This is one of the reasons why I even started thinking about learning to dance hip-hop. Check it out! Here's a version of this without the video as well: Step Up - Bout it (instrumental). And now I'm thinking about joining a class here in Tallinn and start learning this style, I find it so amazing, how diverse it can be and it has nice rhythm and you really need to put your soul into this... mm I love the music somehow... I'm no hip-hoppar in soul, but for some reason it gives me this warm and fuzzy feeling inside.
